A FLASHER who performed a sex act in front of a group of children is being hunted by police.
The incident happened in a field by Clifton Road, Burnley, where youngsters were playing between 6.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday.
The children saw the man stood behind a tree in the field when pulled down his trousers and began to perform a sex act in full view of the youngsters.
But the man fled from the scene after the children's dog started to chase him.
The man was described as being 5ft 11in and with a fat stomach.
The offender was wearing blue jeans and a brown jacket with a hood. This incident is one of many flashing incidents in the last two months.
There were two flashing inc-idents in Westgate, which adjoins Clifton Street, last month.
Police said the man approac-hed a 32-year-old woman walk-ing along Westgate at 3.30pm on March 19.
Two schoolgirls were also flashed in the same area on that day at 8.40am.
Sergeant Craig Leech, of Burnley police, said: "There have been a few reports of flashers in recent weeks "If anyone is subject to this kind of behaviour from a person they need to inform the police.
DS Stuart Dixon of Burnley police said: "I would advise people to take a good look at what they are wearing and observe their direction of travel."
Anyone with any information on this incident can contact Burnley CID on 01282 472142 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
