VANDALS slashed the tyres of 19 vehicles in one street causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

Police said attack happened at the Rosegrove end of Lowerhouse Lane, Burnley, at around 3.25am on Saturday.

The gang made their way along the street, using a screwdriver to slash tyres of parked vehicles, officers said.

After examining CCTV footage, police described the group as consisting of five men, all aged over 20. They are now appealing for witnesses to come forward to help identify the offenders.
