Prince Charles met with faith leaders to discuss community issues on the last leg of the Royal visit to Burnley.
The Bishop of Burnley, the Right Reverend John Goddard, said the meeting at Burnley Town Hall went "extremely well".
He said: "It was good that the Prince made time to meet representatives of the different faiths.
"We have got a good story to tell in Burnley about interfaith dialogue.
"He was very interested in our activities and made some very interesting suggestions regarding taking some of our young leaders from all communities to Pakistan to create better understanding.
"He was asking about how things had progressed since the disturbances in 2001.
"I was able to explain that the situation has greatly improved and about some of the drug issues that remain in this area.
"We presented some strong stories that give great hope for the future of Burnley."
Mayor of Burnley Coun Peter McCann said the visit had been great publicity for the town.
He said: "It's been a really successful day and I know the Prince has thoroughly enjoyed being here.
"He said he likes coming to Burnley a lot.
"There is a lot of good work going on here and he endorses that.
"The visit also brings much-needed attention to the Weaver's Triangle, and all the work that needs to be done there."
The Prince also met with Building Bridges, a Faith Community Action Group.
