PRINCE Charles told Burnley's business and council bosses that the regeneration of the town was key to raising the aspirations of young people.
The Prince made the comments during a 30-minute meeting with Burnley Council bosses, Bryan Dray from the North West Development Agency and Julia Cleverdon from Business in the Community.
It was held in private, but afterwards a spokesman for The Prince said he wanted to "hammer home" that message.
He said: "He feels that the regeneration of the physical aspect of the town was absolutely essential to improving the aspirations of young people in the town."
The meeting ended at 11.10am and The Prince headed to his next engagement at the former Michelin site which has now become the Lancashire Digital Technology Centre.
