Appeal for witnesses to accident

BURNLEY police are appealing for a witness to an accident in Padiham.

The accident involved a green Honda CRV which hit a roadside bollard and turned on to its roof.

PC Ian Thompson said: "We are trying to locate a smartly dressed man who was present at the collision at 11.12pm on Saturday, April 5,in Burnley Road.

"The man we are trying to locate was seen leaving the vehicle on foot. We would urge him to come forward so he can help us with our inquiries."

Police are also keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the accident and ask that they contact PC Ian Thompson at Burnley Police Station on 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Do we take it this was a stolen car? Here`s an idea, try taking fingerprints on the steering wheel and the doors, he may be already on your files!

hahaha hes not going to come foward is he? no matter how much you urge him, he was the un-insured driver and hes done a runner. does that help the enquiry?
