MORE than 150 people attended a drop-in session in Padiham aimed to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the town.

Members of Burnley Council, Lancashire Police, Calico and Burnley Leisure among others discussed issues around drugs, CCTV coverage and youth nuisance.

Cllr Lian Pate, chairwoman of the multi agency tasking and coordinating group, said: "I'd like to thank everyone who took part in this event, especially all the residents who came along and raised their concerns with us.

"We are listening and work is being done to address their concerns.

"I'd continue to encourage anyone with any information about crime and anti-social behaviour in Padiham to either contact the police or the council.

"We will use that intelligence from the community in our fight to make the town safer."
