A MAN was pulled from the banks of the River Calder, police said.
Officers were called at around 9.30pm yesterday over concerns of a man's wellbeing near the river.
Police searched and found the 52-year-old at the river bank near Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham.
A police spokesman said the man was found on the side of the river near Lune Street at around midnight.
He said: "The man was quite wet which suggests he had been in the water, however it is unclear how he got in.
"The man appeared to suffer from the effects of hypothermia and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by an ambulance."
Police added that the man had been missing from home.
