A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car in Padiham.
The incident, involving a silver Renault Clio, happened in Church Street at the junction of Inkerman Street around 3.10pm on Wednesday.
The woman, who police described as middle-aged, also suffered a pelvic injury.
She was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital where her condition was described as non life-threatening.
The male driver of the Renault was not seriously injured.
No arrests have been made.
