400 homes lose power in Padiham and Hapton

OVER 400 homes lost power in Padiham and Hapton this morning.

Electricity North West said the properties lost power after a fault on cables in the area at around 8.25am.

They managed to restore power to 351 homes at 9.05am, but 89 remain without power.

A spokesman for Electricity North West said: “There are underground and overhead cables and we have engineers on site trying to identify the fault.

“We will restore power to the remaining customers as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
