A MAN has been seriously injured after his car crashed into trees.
A police spokesman said the man, who is in his 20s, had been travelling from Hapton towards the M65 in a Subaru Impreza at 11pm yesterday when the vehicle lost control and collided with some trees.
He was found outside the vehicle, in Accrington Road, with suspected head injuries.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition the spokesman said.
Sergeant Lee Harris said police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to get in contact.
He said: “We’re working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and would urge anyone with information to speak to us.
"A man has suffered serious injury and is currently in hospital.
"Anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicle prior to the collision, is asked to contact police.”
