Cliviger boy wins QEGS scholarship

LUKE Penswick, a pupil at St Joseph's RC School in Park Hill, Padiham, is this year's winner of the John Law Scholarship offered by Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Blackburn.

Luke, 11, from Cliviger, will join QEGS in September thanks to the scholarship, which is awarded annually to the boy or girl entering the senior school who achieved the best marks in the entrance examination.
