Snow in Burnley
SNOW has fallen across East Lancashire overnight and this morning.
Thick blankets have settled on the higher ground areas above Burnley, including Cliviger and Bacup, causing some inconvenience to motorists, but no major road problems have been reported.
Experts at the MET Office have said that rain, sleet and snow is will continue until the early evening, with cold and strong north easterly winds. The maximum daytime temperature is 7°C.
Overnight, it will be dry, with a risk of ice and frost. Temperatures could dip as low as -4°C, and winds will ease.
Tomorrow (thurs), there will be a cold and frosty start, but it should stay dry with sunny spells.
It will feel slightly milder, with a maximum temperature of 10°C.

Next thing they are getting tornadoes. This coalilition isn't working for me.Bring back Labour. The sun always shone under labour. No snow in April when Blair was in power. Or Mrs.Thatch. She would have sorted this freak weather out once & for all. Oh yes.
So why has the government not said that we should all rush out and stock up on baked beans in case we get snowed in?
