CAMPAIGNERS in Burnley protested about the loss of Parliament Street post office, which they say will affect young and old.
The branch, on the corner of Reed Street, is one of five earmarked for closure under the Royal Mails cutbacks.
Karen Heseltine, chairman of Dall Street Residents Association, said: "If the closure goes through, we'll lose the most-needed service in Burnley Wood.
"Pensioners have to use a chip and pin machine inside the post office to collect their pensions.
"The elderly have the most to lose but everyone will be affected.
"People use the cash machine there all the time."
