WORSTHORNE Parish Council is organising a sponsored walk around Hurstwood to raise money for the Mayor of Burnley's Charity.

This year the charity is raising money for Action for Autistic Spectrum Disorders'. In particular, he is supporting a newly formed group based at Kings Mill in Briercliffe.

He aims to raise awareness and funding to successfully complete two projects: soft play and activity project and to enhance visual and sensory stimulation; and open a new Internet Cafe area for the children which will encourage social interaction.

Coun Alan Lawson will lead the walk on Easter Monday, March 24, at 2pm. For a sponsorship form call 01282 477106 or email mayorssecretary@burnley.gov.uk
