A Clarets-mad dog has gone missing, prompting a mass search.
Jack the Claret was last seen in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The four-year-old pedigree German Shepherd had been in the garden of owner Cheryl Dunn-Grimshaw in Towneley Street, Briercliffe.
Jack is well known among Burnley fans as he is featured on the Clarets Turf group on Facebook.
He can also often be seen wearing a Burnley shirt when out on walks in Burnley and Brierfield.
Police and Burnley Council’s dog warden have been informed.
Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts can contact Cheryl on 01282 450392.

Seriously though, as a dog owner I know how wonderful they are so I hope he turns up safe and sound.
