Plans for Manchester Road rail station revamp

THE redevelopment of Manchester Road railway station in Burnley is expected to move a step closer this week.
Councillors are expected to approve plans for the work at the station at the development control committee meeting at Burnley Town Hall tomorrow.
Under the plans the existing building on the site will be demolished and a new modern station built, with car parking, manned ticket facilities, community room and toilets.
