Books scheme boost for patients

A NEW borrow-a-book scheme is running at the Royal Blackburn Hospital , thanks to Hapton-based heart charity Pumping Marvellous.
The charity, set up by Nick Hartshorne-Evans, has bolstered the choice of fiction, travel books and cookery books on the cardiology wards.
For a donation by a patient’, books can be taken home, and when finished, brought back.
The charity is also displaying information leaflets in the wards.
