Burnley snooker hall boss stole £200 of electric

A FORMER snooker hall boss who used almost £200 of electricity without paying, is awaiting sentence.

Burnley magistrates heard how Mohammed Adeel Quadri, 31, had been found with a £10 wrap of heroin when police turned up at the hall in Burnley, in December.

Police then discovered the electricity meter at his home had been by-passed.

Quadri, of Devonshire Road, Burnley, admitted possessing heroin and abstracting electricity.

The defendant, said to be on the verge of bankruptcy because of the closure of the snooker hall, was committed on bail to be sentenced at the crown court on August 10.
