Padiham club in the pink as ladies take over
8:57am Monday 2nd July 2012 in Burnley
PADIHAM Cricket Club turned a shade of pink yesterday for an annual Ladies’ Day fundraiser.
The charity match, held to raise money for Breast Cancer UK, saw a Padiham CC Select XI take on a Breast Cancer UK Select XI team.
A ladies-only marquee, with entertainment from singer Gavin Young, also provided entertainment until late in the evening.
Spokesman Callum Clarke said he had been looking forward to the day.
He said: “All money raised from ticket sales, raffles and auctions will be donated to Breast Cancer UK and we hope to have raised more than £1,000.”
