A STAR-STUDDED celebrity line-up has been announced for this year’s Soccer Six tournament at Turf Moor, in Burnley.

World champion boxers, soap stars, and reality TV badboys, are among the stars supporting this year’s event, on Saturday, June 2.

More than 7,000 people attended the event last year, and club bosses and organisers are hoping many more will attend this year.

The big stars for this year’s tournament include undefeated world champion and Strictly Come Dancing star Joe Calzaghe, and X Factor and Big Brother bad-boy Frankie Cocozza.

Also from the X Factor, boy band The Risk will be playing, as well as Kitty Brucknell.

Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowell will be taking part, as will Read actor Lucien Laviscount, who has starred in Waterloo Road and Coronation Street.

Anthony Fairclough, director of commercial affairs at Burnley FC, said: “We are obviously excited at the prospect of being the venue of choice by the Soccer Six organisers and we are pleased that we can build on the success of last year’s massive event.

“The Soccer Six tournament is a great day out and I would say to anyone who missed last year to come to this year's event, as it promises to be bigger and better than before.”

Other participants include glamour model Bianca Gascoigne. and Emmerdale stars Isabel Hodgins, Grace Cassidy and Chelsea Halfpenny.

The Turf Moor event is the 30th time the six-a-side celebrity football tournament has been held since its inception in 1995.
