TWO slimming aces were given food for thought after meeting their TV idol John Barrowman at an awards ceremony.
Rachel Firth and Caroline Griffiths caught up with Torchwood’s Captain Jack at a gala dinner staged by Slimming World in Birmingham.
The pair run classes for the slimming firm at St Cuthbert’s Community Hall in Sharp Street, the Sion Baptist Church and the 1882 Lounge at Turf Moor.
Barrowman, who has also starred on the judging panels for TV talent shows Any Dream Will Do and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, was the event’s guest of honour.
Rachel said: “Meeting John was an amazing experience. I couldn’t believe that he was even more gorgeous in real life but I’ll be treasuring our photograph together.”
