POLICE in East Lancashire are still hunting for a man who pestered a 12- year-old girl on a bus.

The schoolgirl was travelling from Colne to Burnley bus station when a suspicious man got on board and started staring at her.

She decided to sit next to him, but then the man started making sexual suggestions.

The man got off at the Duke Bar stop, Burnley, and the girl reported the incident to bus station staff.

The incident happened at noon on Saturday. The offender is described as Asian, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, with short dark hair, and a strong Asian accent.

He was wearing a black T.shirt, black jeans and shoes.

Anyone who was on the bus, or has any more information, is asked to contact DC John McNamara on 01282 472144.

I have just read the story about the Brierfield pervert DJ who filmed up girl's skirts and had indecent photos of children on his computer. The judge tells him he is unlikely to have to go to jail.
So where is the deterrent for this pervert on the bus? If the poloce catch him and go through all the rigmarole of getting him to court will some judge also let him off?

And today there is a report of another child **** conviction, this time in Baxenden, where jail was not considered. No wonder perverts think they are OK to roam our streets when judges apparently don't take sex offences seriously.

Couldn't agree more with the comments made in regards to Paedos and other Sex Offenders.

My wifes ex is a convicted Paedo he got 16 months in March this year he can apply for Parole in September. He was found guilty of 5 charges of sexual assault the victim one daughter from his first marriage. She came forward 25 years after these events occurred. Whilst my wife was ill with Neuralgia he took advantage of her then 14 year old daughter. This was when the lady in question came forward to shop her own Father to stop it happening again in the future. Personally I would like to knock 10 days out of this piece of garbage on his release. Like my wife says he would be more protected than his victim in law.

We need to give these scum big sentences not little ones with no privileges like separation from other inmates for their protection. If they knew they where going in with the main prison population you no protection you can guarantee there would not be to many Paedos out there. If they cant do the time they shouldnt do the crime.
