THOUSANDS are expected to attend an agricultural show which has been running for nearly 90 years.

The Todmorden Agricultural Society will host its 87th annual show in Cliviger this weekend.

There will be the traditional classes for cattle, dogs, goats, poultry, rabbits and sheep, a light horse section and a pet show.

The events ring will provide exciting displays throughout the day, these include a gun dog Display, SMJ Falconry Birds of Prey, a BMX Show as well as the Mighty Smith strong man show.

There will also be up to 70 trade stands selling a wide variety of food and goods ranging from fish and chips to vacuum packed Aberdeen Angus beef.

It will be held on the show ground adjacent to the Ram Inn, in Burnley Road on Saturday from 9.30am.
