A MAN has been taken to hospital with 'serious' leg injuries.
Air and land ambulances attended a scene in Burnley at around 1 o'clock this afternoon after a call came in reporting an accident in which a man had suffered injuries to his legs.
Paramedics attended the scene on Centenary Way and treated a man thought to be in his 50s before taking him to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a scene in between Tesco Extra and the sub station of Centenary Way in Burnley at around 13:09 this afternoon.
"The air ambulance attended along with a rapid response unit.
"A male, thought to be in his 50s was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with trauma to his legs."
