A MAN arrested in connection with a road rage incident four months earlier was abusive to police.

Zac Christopher Bull, 23, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour and was fined £80 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. He pleaded not guilty to damaging a car belonging to John Zoth in Burnley in November. He was remanded on bail until a trial on June 25.

The court heard Bull had failed to turn up at court when the road rage charge was first listed and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A police officer arrested him on Sunday and as they were waiting for a secure vehicle he became abusive and started swearing at the officers.

Gareth Price, defending, said Bull had never received the paperwork connected with the first offence.

"He felt somewhat aggrieved being arrested for proceeding he knew nothing about," said Mr Price.
