A PRIMARY SCHOOL has been awarded the top mark for school behaviour.
Stoneyholme Community Primary School, on Oswold Street, Burnley is one of 40 schools out of 480 in Lancashire to receive the 'gold' Lancashire Behaviour Quality Mark.
A member of the behaviour assessment team visited school for a day to observe lessons and spend time with students and teachers in the playground and dinner hall.
The assessor discussed behaviour with pupils and staff and looked at the school’s behaviour policy and procedures.
Mrs Davison Head Teacher, said :“I am extremely proud that our children have been awarded the Gold Behaviour Quality Mark.
"The assessment has recognised that the children at Stoneyholme behave outstandingly well, not because they are incentivised or rewarded, but because they know that it is the right thing to do.”
