A secondary school has closed its doors this morning due to it having no water.
Ridgewood Community High School in Eastern Avenue, Burnley, will be shut throughout the day due to the water issue.
Ian Carden, headteacher of Ridgewood Community High School, said that water has now been restored and the school will be open as normal on Monday morning.
He said: "An issue with the school's water supply meant that we did not have hot or cold water within the school and had to take the decision to close the school for the day.
"I'm pleased to say that the water has now been restored and the school will be open as normal on Monday morning.
"I understand the inconvenience that closing the school at short notice can cause but in the circumstances I'm afraid we had no alternative."
