Person taken to hospital after chip pan fire
A CHIP pan caught fire in the kitchen of a flat.
Firefighters were called to St Giles Street in Padiham at 5.30pm.
A fire service spokesman said the occupant of the flat was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
He said: "One apparatus use one hose reel to out the fire out and a portable fan unit to extract the smoke."
