BURNLEY’S refurbished Reel Cinema, has been shortlisted for a major national prize.
It is one of 11 film multiplexes up for the The Screen Awards for Cinema of the Year 2017 in its category.
The winner will be annoucned at a Gala Night at The Brewery in London on November 30.
Reel Burnley has recently officially reopened after a£2million makeover.
Its competitors include the Cineworld multiplexes in Broad Street Birmingham and Leicester Square London; Vue in the capital’s West End and the Showcase Cinema de Lux in Leeds.
Naveen Suri of Reel Cinemas said: “The nomination is for all the hard work of the cinema staff all year and culminating in the complete refurbishment of the cinema and a successful re-launch.
The Screen Awards recognise excellence in UK film distribution, and exhibition, celebrate more than box office figures.”
