TWO men have been injured in a collision in Burnley.

The two-vehicle crash in Todmorden Road has left one man with a head injury and the other with an injury to his arm.

The men were in a black Volkswagen Touran when it collided with a parked blue BMW 116 car at around 11.45am today. The Volkswagen Touran flipped over and ended up on its side due to the collision.

A police spokesperson said: "We received a couple of calls from members of the public at 11.45am today reporting an RTC on Todmorden Road.

"Two vehicles were involved in the collision in which a black Volkswagen Touran driving along the road collided with a parked BMW 116 car.

"The Volkswagen Touran ended up on its side due to the collision and was left substantially damaged, while the parked BMW 116 car also suffered some damage.

"The two male occupants of the Volkswagen Touran ended up with injuries - one a bump to his head and the other an arm injury."

Police are at the scene directing traffic and waiting for recovery vehicles to attend.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "We sent two ambulances to a two-vehicle RTC on Todmorden Road, Burnley.

"Two men were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital following the collision."
