STAFF from Burnley’s award winning Holiday Inn Express have been joined by new “team mates” from Burnley FC as they take part in a gruelling fund raising challenge.
Assistant hotel manager Lee Hargeaves and his colleagues have thrown their energy and enthusiasm into a Tough Mudder challenge taking place at Cholmendley Castle in Cheshire on today to raise money for Burnley FC’s Business In the Community project.
“We have been trading as hard as we can and are looking to complete it within six hours,” Lee said.
Burnley FC’s Matt Pounder, head of sport for Business In the Community said: “It is very important to us to have local businesses supporting our fund raising. I have trained with Lee and we are confident the team can pull off this challenge. ”
The team are also being joined by Harry Pate from Business In the Community sports disability project.
