EAST Lancashire road haulage giant Fagan and Whalley’s new unit on Burnley Bridge business park has been completed on time.

The multi-million pound development of a 92,000 square foot distribution hub by the Padiham-based firm will create at least 25 new jobs.

It will provide parking for up to 80 trailers, with 10 loading bays and 25,000 pallet locations.

Developers of the £50million development near Hapton providing modern industrial and warehousing accommodation creating 1,400 jobs Eshton appointed GMI Construction to deliver the building over a 36 week period.

Stephen Fagan, commercial director at Fagan and Whalley, said: “The new distribution hub is located at the heart of our long-standing customer base and just one junction down from our existing operations facility and company headquarters.

“We’re ready to move in and begin our operations from Burnley Bridge.”

James Chapman, managing director at Leeds-based Eshton, added: “It’s great to see another successful development complete on the site."

Located at junction 9 of the M65, Burnley Bridge provides modern industrial and warehousing accommodation.
