A MOTORIST drove a car into a stretch of water after a police chase in Burnley.
On Saturday, traffic officers attempted to stop a car after its driver was seen acting suspiciously in Burnley.
After a pursuit involving the police helicopter officers deployed stingers and the car went into a stretch of water.
The driver attempted to run off but was arrested by police.
Officers had a busy weekend as another driver was reported after police found they were driving a car with a one-year-old baby sat on a passenger's knee.
They also seized the driver's car after it was found they were behind the wheel despite only having a provisional licence.
Police said the incident happened in Princess Way, Burnley, on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile police seized a car in Burnley on Sunday morning after its driver was alleged to have fraudulently use an insurance policy.
