A CARE service has been rated ‘good’ just over a year after a number of safeguarding concerns were raised.
Allied Healthcare Burnley, which is owned by Nestor Primecare Services Limited and trades as SAGA Healthcare Blackburn, was found to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
In December 2015 the agency, which provides personal and nursing care to people in their own homes, was found to not be meeting all the standards required with concerns raised about the care and support people were receiving, the lack of suitably experienced staff and missed visits.
In a report, which was published recently, the CQC said the management team at the centre in Elm Street, Burnley, had worked hard to make significant improvements to the standards of care and safety at the service."
