BURNLEY goalkeeper Tom Heaton had his hands full again at Turf Moor yesterday - but this time he was signing autographs, not keeping out Zlatan Ibrahimovic!

Heaton posed for a stream of selfies and signed autographs a plenty as supporters young and old, some who had waited for more than three hours, got a first glimpse of his new range made by Precision Goalkeeping.

The 30-year-old was Burnley’s hero with a number of stunning stops in his man of the match display against Manchester United on Saturday.

But after receiving praise from legends such as former United keeper Peter Schmeichel, who called one save from Zlatan ‘among the best in Premier League history’, the down-to-earth keeper was delighted with the turnout of Clarets supporters.

“It’s brilliant,” he said. “It’s probably a sign of how well the team is doing - we’ve had a good start to the Premier League season.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people who have come out today.”

Heaton’s performances this season have prompted talk of him forcing his way into the England starting XI, along with teammate Michael Keane who has been solid in front of him.

The Three Lions face Scotland in a World Cup qualifier at a sold-out Wembley a week on Friday, before taking on European powerhouses Spain four days later.

Caretaker boss Gareth Southgate names his squad after this weekend’s Premier League fixtures with Heaton and Keane set to be included after both were called up last time around.
