They want to speak to him in connection with the incident at an address on Wren Street in Burnley in September.

Shaw, 34, of no fixed address is wanted as he is being recalled to prison as a result of his alleged involvement.

He was originally sentenced to six months and 20 days imprisonment in June at Burnley Magistrates Court for an assault.

Shaw was released in August 2016.

DS Paul Barlow from Burnley CID said: “If you have seen Shaw or know of his whereabouts, please get in touch. I would advise people not to approach him but to call us instead.

“I would also urge Shaw if he sees this appeal to hand himself in sooner rather than later because it’s only a matter of time before we find him.”

Shaw is known to have links to both Burnley and Padiham.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of proportionate build with short dark brown hair.

He speaks with a North-West accent and has visible tattoos.
