A 30-YEAR-OLD Burnley man who knew he was going to prison for explosives offences assaulted the mother of his children after she had allowed them to stay with him for the night.
Blackburn magistrates heard Lee Terrell went round the following morning demanding food and clothing for the kids.
And when she told him he lived next door to Tesco and they were in his care and to “sort it”, he pushed her.

Terrell, of Ingham Street, Padiham, pleaded guilty to assaulting Stacie Senior and damaging a front door belonging to her. He was fined £80 with £30 victim surcharge and made subject to a restraining order for three years.
Richard Taylor, defending, said Terrell had pleaded guilty to the offences at the magistrates court on May 31 and then gone to the crown court, where he was jailed for two years for the explosive offence.
He said that went back to April 2015, when Terrell and Miss Senior were living together when they were threatened by some people. Terrell bought a large firework and adapted it using 1p and 2p coins.
“They were evicted from the property they were living in and the device was found under the kitchen sink were it had always been,” said Mr Taylor. “He knew he was going to prison for that offence and wanted to say goodbye to his kids.
“He says his problem is he reacts rather than thinks and that is what he did on this occasion.”
