TWO women were cut from a car after a crash last night, firefighters said.

A Burnley crew were called to Colne Road when a silver Vauxhall Mokka collided with a blue Vauxhall Vectra, after it came out of the Oaks Hotel at around 11.10pm.

A fire spokesman said two women were taken out of the Vauxhall Mokka and were checked over by paramedics.

He said: "The cars were very badly damaged when we arrived.

"The police are currently investigating how the incident happened.

"The two women from inside the Vauxhall Mokka were provisionally checked over by paramedics as we left the scene."

The condition of the Vauxhall Vectra driver is unknown and it is currently unclear if the women went to hospital.
