POLICE officers in Burnley are looking for a man after two bins were set on fire in Thompson Park.
It is believed a man walked through the park, from the direction of Ormerod Road, and set fire to two rubbish bins after walking past the children’s play area.

One of the containers was badly damaged and had to be put out by firefighters.
Officers are trying to trace a member of the public who made the council aware of the incident and are appealing for them to get in touch.
PC David Kingsnorth from Burnley Police said: “If you recognise this man, particularly by his clothing or you were the person that reported the fires, please get in contact with us.
“Thompson Park is usually a nice place to visit for adults, children and families and this type of activity is unusual. We are working with the council to try and trace the perpetrator.”
He is described as white with short dark hair and was wearing blue/grey washed jeans, a dark jacket which was possibly padded, with a white top underneath and white trainers.
