POLICE were appealing for two men to come forward who where seen before a fire at the former Bull and Butcher Public House in Burnley.

Officers said the deliberate fire at the pub in Manchester Road caused extensive damage to the building including structural damage and took several days to get under control.

A police spokesman said: "Burnley CID are particularly interested in a report of two youths seen in the area of the Bull and Butcher immediately before the report of the fire.

"They are described as 16 to 20 year old males, one was riding or pushing a bike.
