POLICE have launched a manhunt after three men armed with a knife broke in to an elderly woman’s house and stole her handbag.
The robbery happened at a house on Stockbridge Road, Padiham, at 6.10pm yesterday.

The men were thought to have hidden in woodland or the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the police helicopter was sent out to try and find them.
But the police have confirmed this morning that no arrests have so far been made and enquiries are ongoing to trace the three men.
Police are still to release descriptions of the men.
