Man, 20, charged with murder
Detectives investigating the death of 49-year-old Stephen Whitehead in Burnley have charged a man with murder.
Aaron Jenkins, 20, of Devonshire Road, Burnley is due to appear before Burnley Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A 16-year-old girl from Padiham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with perverting the course of justice and is also due to appear at the same court on Monday.
Police were called at around 8am on Monday after Mr Whitehead was discovered at the business premises of Pendle Skips on Balderstone Close, Burnley with significant head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination established the cause of death as extensive head injuries.
