A TEENAGER who has confessed to dealing hard drugs on more than one occasion is awaiting sentence at Burnley Crown Court.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin with intent to supply on November 10.

And he also admitted possessing the same drug with intent to supply, on March 19.

The teenager was further charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply, on November 10 and January 7.

He pleaded not guilty to another charge of possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply, also dating back to November 10, but guilty to possessing the drug. He also denied a further heroin supply charge, which prosecutor Stephen Parker said was acceptable.

Nick Dearing, representing the youth, requested pre-sentence reports for his client, who has no previous convictions.

Recorder Andrew Long remanded the 17-year-old on bail until July 10. He is banned from Burnley town centre, except to attend pre-arranged appointments with his solicitor, and must abide by a curfew.
