A BURNLEY man who was involved in violence at a pub – shortly after attacking a doorman – has been bailed for psychiatric reports.
Karaoke singer Wayne Birtwell attacked a doorman, after dropping the mic at the Bee’s Knees in Hammerton Street.

Burnley Crown Court was told Birtwell’s criminal record included offences involving attacks with dogs and pepper spray.
The Lancashire Telegraph has reported how, in 2008, he tried to douse a police office with pepper spray, as she tried to arrest him.
And in 2009 Birtwell was given a hospital order after one of his bull mastiffs attacked a police officer, again during an arrest.
Bailing Birtwell, Judge Simon Newell said: “I have read about his 2009 offences.”
Birtwell, 30, of Eastham Street, and his ex-partner Amie Williams, 20, of Barry Street, both Burnley, are awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to an assault charge.
The case was adjourned until June 23.
