BUDDING soccer stars in Burnley are invited to get a taste of the town’s blossoming Football Academy.
The academy, based at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre, is holding an open day for under-15 and under-16 male and female players.

The training session will give hopefuls a taster of the college’s high-tech facilities and coaching methods.
Bradley Pates, lecturer in sports, business and the services, said: “The open day is an outstanding opportunity for footballers to get a taste of high level performance.
“Attendees just need to turn up on the day with a packed lunch and suitable training kit with footwear for both gym work and the 3G pitch.”
The women’s session is today from 9.30am to 3.30pm, with the men’s 9.30am to 3.30pm on February 18.
