BURNLEY’S delivery office in Bank Way is to open on Sundays to help with the Christmas rush, it was announced.
It will be open on Sunday, December 21, from 10am until 2pm.
Operations director Rob Jenson said: “We are continuing to be more customer responsive and provide more options for people to receive items they have ordered online, especially at our busiest time of the year. “We hope it provides a helping hand for customers during the very busy festive season.
“Customers can also help us by posting early and by the recommended posting dates and using the postcode on all mail they are posting.”
Customers not at home when delivery is attempted can also arrange a free redelivery to their home or a neighbour via www.royalmail.com/redelivery Almost half of Royal Mail’s UK network of almost 1,400 delivery offices already opens later on a Wednesday evening to enable people to collect items that could not be delivered because no one was at home.
