STRICTLY is not only back on our TV screens this autumn, Burnley Leisure is also going mad for dance as a new fitness class arrives in town.
The new dance fitness programme entitled FitSteps is hitting Burnley’s ‘dance floor’ on September 24 and 25.
Fitness instructor Mark Bennett will lead classes every Wednesday at Vincent Farrell Community Centre at 6pm and at the Mechanics Basement Studio starting 10am on Thursdays.
Developed by Strictly Come Dancing dance stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite, alongside former world champion swimmer Mark Foster, FitSteps is billed as a way to get fit fast, lose unwanted pounds and have lots of fun.
Linda Searle, health and well-being manager at Burnley Leisure, said: “Fitsteps is capable of delivering fast fitness results with a heap of fun. You don’t need to be able to dance and it doesn’t involve any partner work or require special dance shoes.
“Just turn up in training shoes and comfortable clothes.”
