A 47-year-old man appeared before Burnley magistrates, accused of raping a female under 16 and four allegations of indecent assault on a girl under 16.
Paul McGhee, of Cobden Street, Burnley, is alleged to have committed the offences some years ago. The case was sent to the town’s crown court, for a preliminary hearing on September 29.
McGhee was bailed on condition he lives at his given address, does not contact witnesses, does not enter the borough of Pendle, and does not have unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 16. He must report to Burnley Police Station every Thursday.
