AN investigation is under way into a suspected arson attack on an outbuilding behind a home in Burnley which was reported to firefighters.
Crews from the town’s fire stations were alerted to the incident in Godiva Street, Queensgate, at around 12.15am yesterday and found a brick-built shed was ‘well alight’.
Watch manager Stephen Harrison said: “The damage to the shed was severe and had also caused some damage to the windows at the rear of the property.
“At the same time, the crews dealt with a fire involving fencing further down the street. Investigations are continuing but the fire is thought to be deliberate.”
