AN advice service for people with sight problems is set to arrive in Burnley early next month.

Action for Blind People’s pioneering mobile will be located opposite the Red Lion in St James Street on Thursday, March 7, from 10am to 4pm.

Supporters of the Burnley Macular Society have invited the ABP vehicle along to offer assistance on living aids for people with sight problems.

Neal Atkinson ABP spokesman, said: “Whether you are visually impaired or know somebody who may be having problems with their sight, please pay us a visit and pick up information or ask us questions.”

Age-related macular degeneration is a medical condition which usually affects older adults and results in a loss of vision in the centre of the visual field because of damage to the retina.
